A freed circus lion can't get over how amazing real grass is
A lion who was forced to live in a cramped cage and perform in a traveling circus was released when he turned 13.

The happy lion on the video was named Will.
Thanks to the Brazilian animal sanctuary Rancho dos Gnomos, he got the chance to live like a normal lion, grass rolling and all. The sanctuary rescued Will in 2006, when this just released footage was filmed. He passed away in 2011 after five years of pawing the sweet, sweet grass.
Animal sanctuaries like Rancho dos Gnomos are integral for helping save lions, elephants, and other circus animals from abuse.
