Man's near-death experience, captured on a bus' dashcam

With the increasing number of population, there is surely also a boom in the construction industry with the need for more housing projects in urban places. Hence, with construction comes tower cranes.

Wikipedia describes tower cranes to be,

A type of machine, generally equipped with a hoist rope, wire ropes or chains, and sheaves, that can be used both to lift and lower materials and to move them horizontally. It is mainly used for lifting heavy things and transporting them to other places.

With heavy machinery like this, there is also the possibility for accidents happening. In fact, did you know that a study conducted by the Health and Safety Laboratory for the Health and Safety Executive 2010 stated that "a worldwide total of 86 incidents involving the collapse or major structural failure of a tower crane have been identified as taking place between 1989 and 2009."

The video below consists of a crane accident captured by a bus' dashcam. And in it, one very, very lucky man escaped death in mere seconds. The man wearing a red shirt was walking along the sidewalk when a crane suddenly crashes just inches behind him!
