Mutant Lamb with an “angry old man” face gets offer from circus

A farmer was shocked when his lambs were born with a ‘human-like’ face and circus made an offer for her.

Owner Blasius Lavrentiev, from Chirka, south-western Russia, already offered 10 times the normal price for her lambs after waiting for weeks to let them give birth.

But when she eventually produced offspring, her female newborn emerged into the world with a protruding nose, huge ears and a gurning mouth - giving her the facial expression of an angry old man.

“We had quite a tough winter and when I noticed she was pregnant I was delighted as it meant I would be able to sell the lambs and start making some money again” Blasius said

This lamb became so popular not only in their village but over the social media when a circus made an offer to Mr. Lavrentiev ten times the price compared to the price in a slaughterhouse.

"But when I went down to see how it was going I nearly died from shock when I saw what looked like the hairy face of an old man staring up at me. Her parents are both normal looking sheep so I have no idea how she ended up looking like this," Mr. Lavrentiev added

Witness Dementi Galkin said she has seen some weird stuff but not like this lamb born with a human-like face.

"She looks like an angry old man with a big nose." Said Galkin

"Whatever has caused it she’s a little beauty and I definitely won’t be selling her for anyone’s dinner table either as the buyers wants her on display” Mr. Lavrentiev explained. "She’ll be staying with us until then."
