He discovered many artifacts, Roman granary, a 2000 year old tomb and a Franciscan chapel with Knights Templar etching.

This discovery is not an odd occurrence in Lecce as a member of the City Council, Severo Martini said: ‘Whenever you dig a hole, centuries of history come out.’
