Youtube channel How Ridiculous break the world record for the highest basketball shot. It will leave you speechless!
“It’s been a dream of ours to make a shot off Gordon Dam since 2010,” according to the video’s description. “This shot breaks our previous Guinness World Record for the greatest height from which a basketball is shot which was 91m (approximately 299 feet) off the Euromast in the Netherlands in 2013.”
The video was taken at Gordon Dam in Australia. The basketball team made their unbelievable shot from an astonishing height of 415 feet. The dam has a height of 460 feet.
As seen on the video, it was an effortlessly shot from the top of the Tessie’s Gordon Dam to the bottom of it where the ring was standing.
Sunday Night television show documented the team’s three-day attempts to break the record.
Obstacles like wind, rain and hail finally broke as they did the record.
The group of friends from Perth, Scott, Kyle, Brett and Derek, celebrated wildly after smashing their own previous world record of 91 metres.
“There was definitely some luck involved but really a shot like this is more likely when you can consistently put the same spin on the ball every time,' the group wrote online. 'There are some good things that happen in life with some luck, some skill and lots of hard work.”
They first broke the Guinness World Record in 2011 from the EuroMast tower in the Rotterdamn, Netherlands. Their 415-foot shot was their fourth world record.
The “How Ridiculous” group was created in 2009, these bunch of guys are taking roof shots from their parents’ houses. They make trick shots video together and then upload them on Youtube.
