This is the hilarious moment a kangaroo became a viral star - after picking up his air guitar and treating his audience to an impromptu rock concert.

In the video, which has been edited to add guitar solo music, the kangaroo appears to strum away at the invisible musical instrument with its front limbs outstretched in the air.

It then gets a little more ambitious as it appears to reach behind its back and play the 'guitar' from a different angle.

Of course, the more sceptical among the viewers were quick to point out that the kangaroo simply seemed to be scratching itself - but we think that theory ruins the magic a little bit.

The wild animal was caught on camera on Heirrisson Island in Perth, Australia, and didn't seem to mind that it had gathered itself an audience.

Meanwhile, another kangaroo is making a name for itself Down Under - as one of the biggest marsupials in the country.

Unbelievably, Roger a male red kangaroo, stands at a whopping 2.07 metres and weighs a huge 14 stone.
