Father in Dubai let his daughter drown rather than letting the lifeguards save her

Lifeguards are our life savers when someone got drowned in the pool or beach. But this father let his daughter got drown instead of being saved by lifeguards.

A 20-year-old woman was swimming alone in the beach in Dubai when she could keep up with the waves and needed help.

Father let her daughter drown and die than being touched by strange men that would dishonor his daughter.

Lifeguards are trying to save but her father violently prevented lifeguards from intervening in an attempt to protect her purity. She shouted for help and it is believe that if lifeguards had rescued him in that time, she would’ve survived.

The woman's father keeps on telling them that if they touched his daughter it would 'dishonor her'. The young woman died in the incident.

Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Burqibah, deputy director of Dubai Police’s Search and Rescue Department claims that he will never forget that incident.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Burqibah, two rescue men were at the beach and they rushed to help the girl but the father got physical with them.

The father took his wife and kids to the beach for picnic and fun. The kids were swimming in the beach when suddenly, the 20-year-old girl started drowning and screaming for help. Two rescue men were at the beach, and they rushed to help the girl. However, there was one obstacle which prevented them from reaching the girl and helping her,

said Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Burqibah.

This obstacle was the belief of this man who considered that if these men touched his daughter, then this would dishonor her. It cost him the life of his daughter.

The father was a tall and strong man. He started pulling and preventing the rescue men and got violent with them. He told them that he prefers his daughter being dead than being touched by a strange man,

he added.

Instead of helping his daughter, he would rather see his daughter die than be touched by strange men, it's because honor and purity is very important to him.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Burqibah, the woman could have survived especially that the rescue men were so close to pulling her put of the water.

After the incident that father was arrested by the Dubai Police for stopping the rescue team on saving his daughter and was sued and prosecuted for his negligence and obstruction.
