A man from Algeria sues his wife after seeing her without makeup just one day after their wedding

The day after their wedding, the groom from Algeria took his wife to court after seeing her face that morning and accusing her for cheating on him by putting on heavy makeup.

The groom was so shocked that she didn’t recognize his wife. He swore to the court that he mistook his wife for a thief who came to steal his apartment.

That was the first time he saw his wife without makeup on and seeing her natural face when he woke up.

"The groom told the judge that he could not recognize his wife after she washed the make-up off her face. He said he was deceived by her as she used to fill up her face with make up before their marriage," Emirates 24/7 quoted a court source as saying.

According to sources, he said that he was deceived by her wife as she used to fill up her face with heavy makeup before their wedding.

The groom told the Algiers court that he was shocked when he woke up the next morning and found that his wife looked "so different, that he could not recognize her".

He is now seeking $20,000 for “psychological suffering” and other damages.

"He said she looked very beautiful and attractive before marriage, but when he woke up in the morning and found that she had washed the make-up off her face, he was frightened as he thought she was a thief,” the papers said, quoting a court source.

Well this is not the first time this happened; a newly-wed groom approached the court after finding his wide “unattractive”. A man from Saudi Arabia sought divorce from his wife on the night of their wedding day after he saw his wife’s face for the first time.

Before getting into a marriage we should really get to know our partners first. Marriage is not a joke, it’s a real thing. And divorce is expensive.
