The Ministry of Public Security has arrested a gang of traders, revealed by recent news. This issue made headlines as the shocked and frightened public spread the news on the social media to inform and ward other people about it.

There were 63 individuals arrested for buying and hunting rat and other meat products that haven't undergone any inspection, according to the reports. They were using and selling rat, fox and mink meat as fake pork and beef.

However, there are no further information about the how the rats and other animals were hunted and acquired.

The controversial meat was said to be doused in gelatin, nitrates and red pigment and in Shanghai and adjacent Jiangsu Province was the place where these fake pork and beef are sold for about $1.6 million.

The Ministry of Public Security has been really aggressive in their task to "attack food safety crimes and defend the safety of the dining table".

More than nine hundred four individuals have been successfully captured by the authorities for selling fake, toxic and diseased meat.
