The coolest way to make a 3D illusion complete with specially made four image video!
From interesting science fiction films to mainstream consumer use, 3D holograms have made its incredible leap!
The resulting effect of the awesome experiment is more of making the impression that the image you are looking at is shifting as you move your head rather than just a projected image.
Inspired by YouTube user American Hacker, Home Science also made their own DIY tutorial that shows how to create our own hologram with just the use of a CD case, some graph paper, pen, pair of scissors, x-acto knife or glass cutter, clear tape or glue, and of course, your cellphone.
Being totally incredible is not only the reason why this new social media is trend caught us, it is also very easy to create!
The first step in creating your sci-fi like 3D hologram, with the use of your graph paper and pen, measure out a trapezoid shape on the graph paper that is one centimeter at the top and six centimeter on the bottom, and 3.5 centimeters on both sides.
Carefully snap off the sides of the CD case and using the trapezoid and a glass cutter, carefully trace the paper template on the CD case and cut out four identical trapezoids from it.
After cutting, create a pyramid like funnel by taping the 3.5 centimeters side of the trapezoid cut outs together.
And then you are done! You may now select any holograph-specific video you would like to project by placing the object over your phone before you play the video.
Here’s the video tutorial if ever you got lost along the way. Enjoy!
