Man almost paralyzed when he broke his neck because of E-Cigarette explosion!
29 years old Cordero Caples was found on the ground with severe injuries after he smoked his e-cig during his work break.
According to reports, the vape he was using exploded leaving him with broken neck, a missing teeth and horrific burns. After the incident, the was rushed to the nearest hospital there, the doctors performed an emergency spinal surgery. Before the surgery, Cordero was in complete pain.
According to Cordero’s sister, he was almost paralyzed from the injuries he got. Fortunately, because of the fast response of the doctors, he is now in a stable condition.
When his sister first saw him, she was completely in shock that this was all caused by the explosion of his vape. She said that if Cordero know that he was dealing with something that would explode on him, he definitely wouldn’t have put himself in that situation.
Before the accident took place, Cordero dreamed to become a fitness trainer. However, it might not be possible for now. His sister said that it was very devastating to see a healthy man with all his strength be put in a position where he can possibly be paralyzed from an e-cigarette.
There have already been numerous reports about vape explosion but this is definitely the most severe. The US Fire Administration claimed that faulty batteries are the root cause of the said explosion. According to a study, e-cigarette manufacturers should think changing to a different style of electrical connection. They should also have inclusion of protection circuits into the e-cigarette device so it would improve battery safety.
The remaining portions of the vape Cordero used for smoking survived the incident. It was from Kangertech, a Chinese company founded in 2007. The company claims that it upholds the highest quality standards according to their website. As for the moment, the company has still no comment with the incident.
