Encountering a persistent Remora can be scary for a diver and possibly cause panic that can lead to a perilous outcome if not managed correctly.

On a video posted by YouTube user Daniel Leifheit, a diver captured the moment he was mistaken for a shark by a two remora fishes, which are trying to attach themselves to his wetsuit while diving off.

Seen in the video, the remora fishes where circling the diver while the diver seems to enjoy the moment as he calmly films the entire incident.  

Located at the top of the Remora fish’s head is a well modified dorsal fin that expands during their development to become an efficient sucker disk.

Remora fishes attach to sharks, mantas, whales, turtles, ships, and also divers. They attach to just about anything to can help them save energy until their next feed! It is unlikely to be picture out that powerful open ocean creatures such as mahi-mahi or dolphonfish and amberjacks are related to Remora fish.

Your judgment about these opportunistic freeloaders may revolutionize when you regard as what 50 million years of evolution has done by tinkering with the muscles and bone formation of a dorsal fin to create their eccentric edge for survival.

There have been numerous footages from around the globe showing how these remora fishes mistaken divers for large sea creatures such as the shark.
