Alden Richards to star the PH version of 'My Love From the Star'?
Everyone's talking about who's going to star on the Philippine version of Korean's 'My Love From the Star' after a director revealed that her next project on GMA Network will be a 'Korean inspired' and Alden Richards will be the lead actor. Let's find out!
One of the Koreanovela's that won the hearts of the netizens and aired on GMA Networks was the 'My Love From the Star' next to 'Endless Love'. It was a big hit not only on China, Malaysia, and Singapore but also in the Philippines.
Because of it's big hit in our country, netizens are asking the GMA Network to have it's PH version and they wanted Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza to star in it.
After Bb. Joyce Bernal announced her new teleserye project on GMA the 'My Love From the Star' with Alden, netizens were asking who will star as Steffi Cheon. Until now there's still no confirmation who will portray as Steffi.
And because of the AlDub fever all over the world, they wanted Alden to star as Matteo Do who was an alien and was left behind 400 years ago, and Maine as Steffi Cheon a top Hallyu star who is very blunt and believes that she is every man's type.
According to some reports, one of the management's top choice is Jennylyn Mercado to play as Steffi maybe because she's now the Rom-Com Queen after winning Best Actress from almost her Rom-Com movies.
And according to a source, they are still waiting for Jennylyn's renewal of contract to confirm about the character for the new Koreanovela.
They also said that it's still under negotiation if Maine and Alden would be partnered in the story because they are still doing a movie together for their first anniversary in Kalyeserye.
“Hindi pa nila sinasabi sa akin kung sino ang magiging leading lady. Okey sana kung si Maine, di ba? Tried and tested na kasi ang tambalan nila. Pero may movie na kasi silang gagawin, ‘di ba? said Bb. Joyce Bernal
“Sila naman ang magde-decide, e. Hintayin na lang natin kung sino ang magiging leading lady.” she added.
There are still no confirmation about Alden's leading lady on 'My Love From the Star' so let's just wait for the announcement from the Network.
