"How It's Made" featured in one of their episode a sneak peek of a factory that creates the ever famous bacon. They showed how bacon is processed and cook in the factory where things move along crisply.

Before bacon is served on your plate, it first start as a pork belly where a several of these are tossed around into a giant tumbler where the action soften them so it will easier to remove the skin.

Then, the workers place the pork belly skin side down on a conveyer belt. The conveyers take the pork bellies to a long automated blade which then slices the skin away from the meat. The skin will drop onto another conveyer belt as they went their way to be processed into pork rimes, another kind of snack food.

While the meat pieces head into another direction towards the flipping device. This device turns the meat back side up so the workers on the line will be able to trim of remaining pieces of skin on the meat.
