A local government official instructed to kill dolphins and whales. The reason will blow your mind out!
A mayor in Dumanjug, Cebu said that Whales, Sharks and Dophins should be killed while addressing the participants of Tanon Strait Protected Seascape Stakeholders’ Summit in Cebu City.
According to CNN report last September 2014, the local fisherman are allowed to hunt down 2,000 dolphins and porpoises from seven different species.
Garcia believes it otherwise by adding that “in fact, the whale is increasing because nobody is catching them.”
Mayor Nelson Gamaliel Garcia said "Dolphins, whales, sharks are parasites” some of them should be killed. During the summit is about restoring the beauty and bounty of Tañon Strait, the largest marine protected area in the Philippines.
However, the mayor discussed that these marine species is causing a diminishing fish catch and the fisherman cannot participate on this act because the species consumes at least two tons of fish a day.
He iterated that by killing some of them they can control the growth of these inhabitants. He mentioned that in Japan, they allow to butcher some of the dolphins and whales. He also added that in the coastal town of Taiji in Wakayama Perfecture in Japan, known for its traditional whaling, has a hunting season that starts from September to the end of February the next year.

The World Wild Life is against slaughtering this beautiful species because they contribute to the balance of marine environment and also viral in the food chain and the Philippine government also release an Administrative Order 282 which stated the protection of the Whale Shark.
