There are few things more satisfying that tearing off an itchy scab but imagine how this teenager felt, slowly peeling away a giant strip of scab that stretched from his shoulder all the way down to his wrist.

Those of a squeamish disposition should look away as Max Holmes tears what looks like a strip of doner meat to reveal red-raw and weeping skin below.

Being watched by a cheering group of friends, Holmes laughs: "It's coming off very easily. It doesn't hurt it's good."

The teen got the dreadful injury after falling off a motorbike in Thailand. And later shared the stomach-churning scab video on YouTube.
But don't try this at home - dermatologists warn picking scabs away from an unhealed wound can make it more vulnerable to infection.
