Python Snake devours Crocodile after 5 hour battle, caught on camera

A National Geographic worthy battle between a beast and another beast has been going viral out of Australia.

A crowd of onlookers reportedly witnessed the unusual event and some filmed the rare fight between a 10-foot water python and an adult crocodile at Lake Moondarra in northwest Queensland Australia on Sunday.

A Python snake fought, wrestled and then ate a crocodile whole following a dramatic five-hour long battle. The incident was captured on camera by author Tiffany Corlis. The snake - thought to be python measuring around 10ft - constricted the croc to death, before dragging it to shore and eating it whole in front of a shocked crowd of onlookers.

The two reptiles slugged it out for five hours until the exhausted crocodile finally gave up. One onlooker, Tiffany Corlis, told the Brisbane Times that the snake was already starting to strangle the smaller crocodile when she arrived three hours into the battle.

The snake dragged its prey to the shore and took what she said was just 15 minutes to devour its opponent whole, and then lay still to presumably digest its mega meal.
