According to the recent Nielsen survey, Filipinos spent three hours a day on their smartphone. What activities does one individual perform on their smartphone?

Nielsen Philippines said that Filipinos are using their smartphone for entertainment and Google Play Store is the most-visited application which beats Facebook 90.2% to 88.5.

On their Consumer report for the third quarter, Nielsen said that the nearly 174 minutes per day spent on smartphone reflects the spread of more affordable handset from China and India together with a growing number of a local brand. There are more than 50 brands available in the market which penetrates the 16 to 24-year-old users.
The company also noted that nine of 10 tablets users it in their home to access the internet via wifi. They also recommend that the device is taking up their time in watching television.
