The SmartCharge light bulb supplies 4 hours of light during brownout and it works like a normal light bulb which fits into any standard fixture but gives lighting when the power is out. 

This light bulb cost at $29.95 and available for shipping in 32 countries including the Philippines. It can last up to 25 years. It give 350 lumens to light up an small room. No need for extra wiring to turn the bulb on during brownout. It uses the same switch where the SmartCharge is installed. 

According to the inventor, Shilendra Suman, he waited for the right technology to come. He said, "The thinness of the LED is how I was able to put a 'small computer' inside the light bulb. I put a battery, control technology, intelligence, CPU, memory, inverter, and a printed circuit board all inside the light bulb assembly."

This technology will be available in the Philippines but they are waiting for the CE certification marks to make it readily available in the country.
