Philippines is having a better railway system, New York City style and it is the most expensive project.
Have you ever dreaming of getting to Makati in less than an hour? Well, the Philippine government already approve this new mode of transportation which is the same transportation used in New York.
This is the first subway system in the Philippines which costs at 374 billion pesos that expands from Fort Bonifacio to Makati to SM Mall of Asia. This is the biggest and most expensive project that was approved by the NEDA-ICC (NEDA-Investment Coordinating Committee).
Metro Manila’s first subway system will run from Market Market in Taguig and St. Luke’s hospital at the Fort. Then spreading its way to Makati area from EDSA-MRT stations on Buendia and Ayala, Ayala Triangle, Makati Post office and the PNR station on Buendia. Moving its way to Manila-Pasay area re LRT-1 station at Taft Avenue then going to Roxax Boulevard to World Trade Center. Then rolling out its way to SM Mall of Asia then back to MRT Taft station.
The cost goes up because it is costly to build a subway system compared to elevated rails. According to the government, it doubles its price per kilometer.
