The Yulin festival in China is the most brutally disturbing festive to date.
In Guangxi province in China, they celebrate the Yulin Dog Meat festival. This is to celebrate the solstice in June where dogs are traded, killed and then eaten in the home or on the street. The people in this province boils, hangs or electrocuted a dog as part of the ceremony of this cruel festive.
Over ten thousand dogs are killed every year for this event. Around five hundred thousand pounds of dog meat is consumed annually in this cruel event. However, dog meat is common in China but how this dog meat produced is a very disturbing sight. These dogs are transported in an overcrowded cages or dragged by using a pole with electricity. Some of the live dogs are being boiled live, or clubbed to death. Family pets are not safe during this festival as they being snatched and stored in a cage.
The netizens react to this event and they dubbed it as “festival of cruelty”. They describe that the dogs and cats are swimming in blood, the carcasses are burn, and hang on hooks. You can describe it as a mass slaughtering of dogs. They also created a hashtag on twitter called #StopYuLin2015. This is to send the message that they should stop the cruelty to our pet dogs.
As mentioned, cats are not an exception. Even this beautiful felines are being slaughtered to death. They are also placed on over crowded cages. The slaughter house uses a hook to kill this cat.
