An extremely rare sea monster which considers as a ‘living dinosaur’ which lives near the ocean floor. Can you guess this creature that measure 125 centimeters?

Lochlainn Kelly and his father Mike went fishing at the coast of New South Wales in Australia when they capture an rare shark species. They were amazed on this creature which is known as a goblin shark.

It measures 125 centimeters and considered as the smallest of its kind


This species inhabits the ocean floor around 1.2 kilometres deep. They don’t like the shine of the sun and prefer the darkness of the ocean floor. They also called ‘vampire shark’. But this small sea animal was seize at 609 meters near the water surface.

This creature lies below the ocean floor (about 1.2 kilometers)


The Kelly family sends this creature at the Wharf Aquarium In Merimbula. The curator Michael McMaster and Alan Scrymgeour from the Sapphire Coast Marine Discovery Centre studied the creature and were stunned by the discovery.

This rare shark will be shipped to the museum for more experiments 


The goblin shark is the last known species of Mitsukurinidae, a family of sharks from 125 million years ago.

They ruled that the specimen was two to three years old as it is relatively small at just 1.2 metres in length. Where a fully grown goblin shark is between three to four meters long.
