Piranhas are known to be one of the deadliest sea creatures in the world. With its razor sharp teeth and fast attacks, then because of the movies created to inspire by piranhas.
Ever wonder what happens if you just into a pool full of Piranhas? Can you swim in the water filled with Piranhas? TV show, which was hosted by Jeremy Wade entitled, River Monsters will show you that piranhas are not attracted by live creatures without the scent of blood.
Jeremy created an experiment by putting 100 red belly piranhas in a swimming pool. These piranhas have not yet claimed anything. In short, these are hungry piranhas.
They also demonstrated how they will only attack when blood and flesh are thrown into the water.
The first thing that he did was to drop blood inside the pool to see how they would react if they smelled a blood. They went around the cloud of blood, but they could not sense any fresh meat. Then, Jeremy decided to put in a piece of meat.
Within seconds after putting the meat, one piranha attacked it, which attracted a couple of piranhas more.
The result might surprise you if you expect them to be anything like the Piranha 3D movie. If you’re thinking, well this isn’t the same, it isn’t the natural habitat. Just watch the second video, he does the same thing except in a natural Piranha infested river.
Surprisingly, when Jeremy swam in the pool, but the piranhas ignored him. Not a single attack was made.
This only proves that these fishes will only strike if they sense a smell of blood.

Wade told The Daily Caller the fish he is personally most terrified by is the Goliath Tigerfish, the only fish in Africa unafraid of crocodiles. In fact, it eats them.
Goliath Tigerfish have sharp, massive teeth that protrude on the outside of their mouths like something from your worst nightmare as a kid. Wade said he’s so fearful of the fish because they tend to attack humans unpredictably.
