Girl who is frozen solid and almost dead, but something UNBELIEVABLE happened to her!

Jean lay in the snow as the temperature plummeted to -22 degrees for almost six hours.

On December 20, 1980, during a heavy winter, 19-year-old Jean Hilliard, was driving to her parents’ home in Lengby Minnesota when her car suddenly feel into a dike. Jean got stranded so she decided to go down the car and walk to a Wally Nelson’s house two miles away.

Wally didn’t see her. She collapsed from hypothermia.

She lay in the snow as the temperature plummeted to -22 degrees for almost six hours.

The next morning, she was seen by Wally. Jean’s body was too hard that he had to put her in his car diagonally to get her to the hospital.

''At worst, I might lose a couple of toes,'' she says. ''I can't explain why she's alive,'' Dr. George Sather, who helped treat the young woman, said. ''She was frozen stiff, literally. It's a miracle.''

Miracle happened! Jean was wrapped in an electric heating pad, and she began to revive.

Jean was ''like a piece of meat out of a deep freeze,'' when her friend found her in the snow.

When Jean arrived at the Fosston, Minn., hospital, her skin was too hard to pierce with a hypodermic needle. Her pulse had dropped to 12 beats per minute and her body temperature was too low to record with a thermometer.

''The reaction didn't appear until two or three hours after she started thawing out,'' Dr. Sather said.

''The body was cold, completely solid, just like a piece of meat out of a deep freeze.''

“I thought she was dead, but then we picked up an extremely faint whimper. We knew there was a person existing then,” said Dr. Edgar Sather, Dr. George Sather’s brother

After several hours, Jean was wrapped in an electric heating pad, and she began to revive.

Jean’s mother Mrs. Erickson asked for a chain prayer for her daughter’s survival. Lots of people were praying for her fast recovery.

After the chain prayer, Jean’s legs and feet started to lighten and recover their natural color.

Later that day, a miracle just happened! Her hands and arms began to thaw.

By the third day, Jean was able to move her legs. And finally, after 49 days, Jean fully recovered and was discharged from the hospital.

Lucky girl, still alive and healthy!
