These young boys were asked to SLAP a girl, their reactions will AMAZE you
An eye-opening video went viral and had over 31,000,000 views and 22,000 comments on Youtube.
There have been many social experiments, ad campaigns and even articles tackling about violence against women but this video, Slap Her, created an impact that no other campaigns had made.
An Italian news organisation, Fanpage.it invited series of young boys aging from 7 to 11 years old. They were not told about the real purpose of the video.
In the video, the six young boys were first asked about their names, age, what they wanted to be when they grow up and why. In the middle of the video a young girl named Martine was introduced to them. They have never seen or met Martina before.
When Martina stepped in, the young boys were again asked with a series of questions. They were asked what do they like about Martina. One of them answered, "I like her eyes" while one said, "Everything!". Martina was complimented by one of the boys who said to her, "You're a pretty girl".
Then, the young boys were asked to caress Martina. The boys looked quite shy to do it but they did it anyway. Most of the touched her face while one of the caressed her arm. After that, they were told to do a funny face in front of her, and they did. Seen in the video was Martina laughing at some of the boys of the funny faces they made.
However, the twist in the video was when the young boys where asked to slap Martina.
They paused, some seemed confused while some seemed shocked about what they are being asked of to do. They were asked to slap Martina again but they stood still and did nothing.
The young boys were asked again to slap Martina but they said "No." One of them even said, "I'm not going to do it".
After they refused, they were asked, "Why not?" Their answers are so sincere it will touch your heart.
