Doctor pulls out a large parasite from a woman's lip
This stomach-churning video had gone viral after being watched by millions of YouTube viewers. The footage shows a doctor pulling out a live worm inside the girl's upper lip, and it's just as disgusting as it sounds.
In the clip, a woman is seen lying on an examination table with a extremely swollen upper lip while a medical professional tediously try to pull something out of it.
As he is able to tweeze more of the creature out, it’s instantly obvious that there is a worm inside the woman's lip.
However, the woman doesn't seem to be in any kind of hurting as the maggot is pulled from her lips. She simply lies at rest and ease as her doctor carry out the process.
After a lot of twisting and pulling, the doctor finally removes the worm from the woman’s upper lip, and size of the worm is completely shocking!
It is still not clear how the worm was able got inside and live the woman’s lip or where the video was filmed.
According to some reports, the worm was because of a botfly which was able to lay eggs in the woman’s upper lip.
Botflies are known to live and make their homes under human skin where they will lay their eggs.
Their larvae are internal parasites of mammals, some species growing in the host's flesh and others within the gut. The human botfly, Dermatobia hominis, is the only species of bot fly known to parasitize humans routinely, though other species of flies do cause myiasis in humans.
Which this unfortunate woman had to experience firsthand, but, thankfully, the doctor was able to remove it.
The stomach-churning video has 2,398,881views since it was posted on YouTube.
