WATCH! A new high speed camera that can capture the FASTEST thing in the world!
Take a closer look at the fastest camera that can film the fastest thing on earth in slow motion!
Light is the fastest thing in the whole universe for so long a time and it is certain, based on studies and researches, nothing can go faster than the speed of light.
A new imaging system has been created by MIT Media Lab researchers. It can get hold of visual data at the rate of one trillion frames per second. That alone can make a slow motion footage of light all the way through an object.
A video posted by NOVA PBS on YouTube shows Host David Pogue as he encounter the remarkable camera of MIT that uses the technique called "Femto-Photography". This method can capture trillion frames per second and it can freeze light in motion.
According to David Pogue, it was Professor Harold Edgerton who pushed the boundaries of high speed photography in the early 1960's. He made a 2000 mile an hour bullet rendered which looks like it was immobile.
However, after 60 years, a MIT group of scientist have outdone Edgerton's work.
Christopher Basi, postdoctoral associate of MIT Media lab, claimed that Edgerton's work was actually their inspiration. The difference between their works is that Edgerton used a bullet made out of copper and lead while they used bullets of light.
Afterwards, he introduced the camera they've made which is so fast that it can slow down to a craw the fastest moving thing in the universe - light. He also explained that the camera can also transform the flash of light in still life into a journey. They can observer light as it goes into and out the object.
