A tandem of snatchers were caught on cam as they in the busy streets of Manila and with the help of CCTV footages, authorities were able to track them down up to another place.

An exclusive news of GMA News and Public Affairs reports how local authorities were able to arrest snatchers with the help of CCTV footages.

Unlike the usual, the allegedly tandem of snatchers rode a bike along the streets of Manila in the middle of the day.

After someone tip them off about the snatchers, they followed them through the CCTV camera.
But to their shock, their target snatchers where not in the midst of Manila but in Barangay Lapaz, a city near Makati.

The snatchers were seen intentionally crashing into a woman who’s carrying two bags as she walks alongside the road. After they forcefully grabbed the woman’s bag, the snatchers were able to escape.
When the locals noticed the tension, they tried to run in hopes of catching the suspects. However, one of the snatchers is armed with a knife which is why; one of the villagers took the urge to carry a stone with him.

The suspects were able to reach another barangay. One the of the suspects was not able to grab the bag again after the fell down because the locals are already chasing him.

While the other snatcher, took out a knife as he ran and tries to escape.

After seeing this on the CCTV camera, the barangay captain decided to bring a bigger knife.
The local residents and the barangay authorities worked together in catching the snatchers.

According to Jose Ronnie Sedon, a barangay kagawad, when they have corner the snatcher he was threatening them with his knife.

While Marni Buluag, barangay chairman, said that they brought their own knife to help them stop the snatcher and not to hurt them.

They were able to arrest on of the snatchers while the authorities are still searching for the other.
