Jessica Sanchez joined the American Idol four years ago and finished the competition as a runner-up in the final round of the eleventh season of American Idol, losing to Phillip Phillips. But last April 7, 2016, during American Idol's series finale, she slayed her incredible cover of Celine Dion's 'The Prayer'.

The most talked-about moment during the American Idol series finale could have been announcement of the final winner, which is Trent Harmon. It also could've been the reunion of the original three judges, Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson or the past winner's performance.

But, instead, it was Jessica's performance that made Twitter erupted with unanimously fervent praise for her very incredible rendition. The season 11 runner-up was joined by alumnae contestants for a medley songs, which was opened by Katharine McPhee and Casey James singing Lady Antebellum‘s “Need You Now”.

In the video, Jessica starts off quietly at the 4:40 mark with a humming voice on a dark stage, with a single spotlight focused at her. And when she hold that note at the 6:00 mark that when she gave everyone the chills!

Soon, the crowd are cheering for her as she sang out the rest of the song and the light reveals the rest of the performers onstage with her. In the end of the video, the 3 judges of season 15 Harry Connick Jr, Keith Urban and Jennifer Lopez, gave her performance a standing ovation.

American Idol first aired in 2002 and ended now 2016. Among its very successful contestants were Adam Lambert, Kelly Clarkson, Jordin Sparks, Jennifer Hudson, Fantasia Barrino, Carrie Underwood and David Cook.
