The Salcedo Community Market boasts to be one of the largest weekend markets in the country to date. Find anything under the sun - from fresh farmers’ products, specialty food and finds, ready to eat meals and more.

Located in Makati’s Central Business District, on Saturdays this place bustle with activity. Over a hundred vendors sell their wares in this area so local folks and foodies have been frequenting the area for the past 10 years now.

It has also become a trendy marketplace where you can spot well-known personalities who also enjoy the offers of the day.

After buying all your goods, spoil yourself a bit with sumptuous culinary delights like crepes or galettes b Gigi La Crepe or sweet baklava (Turkish pastries) by Anatolia Cuisine.


Legazpi Sunday Market

If you wish to go to a smaller community marketplace, you can try the Legazpi Sunday Market. This open-air marketplace features selected vendors selling interesting artisanal items that anyone will fancy. So while you enjoy that leisure walk in the area, come across interesting food finds like Adam’s Seriously Good Ice Cream, Budbud gourmet suman and muffins by Cubcakes among others.

After stuffing your tummies with delectable treats, quench your thirst with some freshly brewed ginger ale by Stanford x Shaw Brewing Co. Continue to check out the stalls and come up with the one which showcase colorful Moroccan textile, weaved mats, and upcycled bags.

The nice thing about this market is that each vendor displays different items from each other so market goers can expect unique shopping experiences.

The concept of this market is similar to Singapore’s hawker centers where diners get to choose food choices from various stalls. Go from one food stall to the next and let your senses feast on an assemblage of food and drink choices that will make you forget the stresses of your day.

Must try on your visit are Chef Bab’s sizzling sisig, Lu Chi’s dimsum and dumplings and a whole lot more! For the more discerning gastronomist, look around for palate pleasers at the recently opened BHS Gourmet Food Fair that runs every Sunday from 6am to 2pm.

Mercato Centrale has redefined the Filipino food trip culture with its roster of weekend markets all over the Philippines—from Metro Manila to Tagaytay to Cagayan de Oro. Though less glamorous than the other markets, the AANI Weekend Market is a haven for bargain hunters and worth a visit for its farm fresh product offerings that range from meat, poultry, seafood, vegetables, and fruits.

This market also features a produce section where you’ll get to choose from organic vegetables to fresh fruits, a dry goods section that offers export overruns and second-hand goods, a garden corner that displays herbs, seedlings and flower pots, and a wet area where you’ll find raw protein sources. Not to miss is the eating area where you can grab a bite before or after shopping. Get refreshed by drinking a glass of cool buko juice or order all time favorite hot bowl of arroz caldo and freshly made bibingka to replenish lost energy after going around the busy market.
