The first ever Filipino character to hit Tekken 7
Bandai Namco Games announced that they will be releasing a Filipina character in the 7th instalment of their game, Tekken.
The character was named “Josie Rizal” which came from the prominent national hero of the Philippines. She specializes in Eskrima and Kick Boxing. Check out the video below.
Mark “MarkMan” Julio, who has Filipino blood, told the Tekken Project Head Katsuhiro Harada about the Filipino Culture and “offiered advice that shaped many of the character’s traits, including her name” resource said.
Different opinions were fired as Josie Rizal trended in the Philippines and Worldwide.
