A woman in Russia accidentally shot herself in the head while posing for a selfie.

According to the reports, the 21-year-old woman found a 99mm handgun that was left behind by a security guard at her office in Moscow.

She decided to take a selfie holding the gun, she held it with one hand while the camera is with her other hand.

While taking a selfie with one hand, she accidentally pulled the gun’s trigger and shot herself at the close range.

The woman was rushed to the hospital after the incident that happened on a Thursday. She was in a serious condition when police confirmed the accident on Friday.

Police are investigating how the woman got hold of the gun and shot herself on Thursday.

The gun that was used by the woman was left by the security guard at work two weeks earlier before going on a vacation.
