The rotting body was claimed to be the Chupacabra. This legendary creature was believed to live in the parts of Latin America. It is said that it has spikes on its back and the similar size of a small bear.

In Puerto Rico, Chile and Mexico, rumors have been spreading that this legendary creature has been terrorizing locals and drinking the blood of livestock.

The commander of Carmen del Parana Fire Brigade, Javier Medina, who was called to take out the body from the water and examine it said that the creature was possibly a monkey, given from its traits and because of the hands and legs.

But he added that in reality, nobody can say what exactly could it be because the creature was found in an advance state of decomposition.

While Pablo Lemir, a forensic expert, said that the creature looks like an ape with humanoid features. But the fact that it was partially decomposed modifies its physical traits.
