A hilarious moment of a group of penguins were caught on camera as they mimicked the chracters from 2005 Dreamworks movie Madagascar by making a break for freedom!

In the clip, their footprints on the floor is the only thing they gave away. It can be seen all over the corridor. But the confused zoo staff immediately found out what the animals are up to!

The zoo keeper caught the penguins red handed. The penguins realized their plan has been foiled so decided to make a dramatic U-turn and run past the zoo keeper as they went back to where they came.

The hilarious video clip was captured at the Odense Zoo in Denmark.

However, one of the adorable penguins squeak out of frustration as they reach the dead end.

A spokesman for Odense Zoo joked on the video of the penguins on Youtube. He said, "Perhaps our penguins have watched the penguins of Madagascar a bit too much..

One amused Facebook viewer quoted a popular line from the Dreamworks film, saying: "Smile and wave boys, smile and wave!"

While another online user said, "Watching these penguins has made me so happy!"

The video was uploaded on November 10 to the zoo's Facebook page and has garnered more than 80,000 views.
