Above a branch of IKEA, a spooky but beautiful unidentified flying object was spotted which left residents puzzled. It was witnessed by hundreds of people across several countries.

But for some local astronomers who have ruled out a comet and played down suggestions it was just a meteor.

From a car, a video footage was taken showing the odd light floating in the sky above the furniture stores warehouse in the city of Omsk in western Siberia.

However, in the cities of Tyumen, Tomsk, and Novosibirsk and as well as Kazakstan capital of Astana, it was seen Tuesday evening.

Another theory was raised saying it was just a test firing ordered by Vladimir Putin which was launched from the Kapustin Yar cosmodrome in southern Russia.

While, in Novosibirsk, the planetarium of the Siberian State University of Geosystems and Technologies astronomers said that the unidentified flying object was definitely not a comet.

According to The Siberian Times, the object was the second stage of intercontinental ballistic missile Topol launched at the 15:12 Moscow time from Kapustin Yar cosmodrome in Astrakhan region.

In Omsk, the planetarium head Vladimir Krupko said that it could have been an incident of an unreported launch from a spaceport in northern Russia, Plesetsk.
