Eiffel Tower turns off light after Paris terrorist attacks

After the horrific attacks in Paris, the Eiffel Tower turned off its lights. Everyone assumes it symbolizes their grieves and mourning after more than a hundred victims lost their lives.

A video footage shows that on November 13, at approximately 4 in the afternoon, the Eiffel Tower shuts off its lights. This occurred after Paris was attacked by terrorist. And during this attack many people were killed.

It seems appropriate for the Eiffel Tower to turn of its lights as the country is in mourning. So many Parisians were killed in deadly attacks on the monument’s soil.

It was a Friday night when suicide bombers and gunmen attacked the city. They gunned down innocent citizens at a local restaurant and detonating explosives just outside the Stade de France.

Sign of humanity and compassion floods the city after the horrific incidents.

People from across different states are showing their condolences and support for the City of Paris. In one of the famous social networking site, Facebook, online users are changing their profile pictures with a Paris's flag. Messages and photos showing condolence and support for the City of Paris were posted and shared by online users. Many have used the #PrayforParis with every post they made.

It is still not clear how long would the Eiffel Tower will keep it's lights shut. But every one knows that it will be quite some time before they will turn in back on.
