Let's watch how they speak those famous Filipino movie lines.
BuzzFeed Philippines made a video of Americans trying to speak Filipino for the first time. It was going viral now because of how hilarious the way they pronounce those famous Filipino movie lines.
These New Yorkers tried to say some popular lines from movies like 'Heneral Luna', 'One More Chance', and the very controversial Alma Moreno's #AlDav interview.
Some of them got the lines semi perfect. But some of them are having a hard time pronouncing every word of the line.
We all know the learning a new language is really difficult. For foreigners trying to speak Filipino can be sometimes funny.
One of them even laughed at the line "Putangina naman, Bash". She told that what she thinks of how she pronounced it sounds dirty.
Almost all of them read it as "Putan-jayna". While the line "Tae lang naman ako sayo, eh", they almost got it correctly.

One girl knows that in the Philippines, we say Tita and Tito instead of Auntie and Uncle.
But they all had the hard time say the line "Pinapahirapan mo ako". One of them said it was such a long word. None of them even got it correctly.
The famous Alma Moreno's line in #AlDav interview, 'Kailangan pa bang sagutin yan?' seems easy for these New Yorkers to say it.
One of them got the meaning the line from Heneral Luna's movie 'Mga inutal! Hindi tayo mamasyal'.
He said he thinks the meaning of it was 'you're worthless' and 'you're nothing', which seems correct.
But in the line "Para kayong mga birheng naniniwala sa pagibig ng isang puta" , only one of them got it correctly. One guy even said that he knows the meaning of the last word in it.
Hearing them speak Filipino makes us laugh, but they were really trying their best to pronounce every word in each lines. So much effort.
