OMG! Alden Richards Sili Challenge!
It seems like Alden really loves challenges, ha? Let's watch what happened to him in this Sili Challenge with Ryzza Mae Dizon.
A video uploaded last April 2015 wherein Alden Richards and Ryzza Mae Dizon are into a challenge!
In the video clip, Alden said that Ryzza wanted to try if drinking of milk can cure the spicy effect of a red hot chili. So he proved it to Ryzza by really eating it!
"Kinakabahan ako" Alden said before doing the challenge.
He ate the red chili and then drank the milk. At first Alden was still trying to figure it if the spicy effect will be cured by the milk but he drank again and said that the spiciness was still in his mouth. Nice try Alden!
"Wag mong subukan be (Ryzza), maanghang parin. Hindi totoo!" he said while everyone in the room laughs.
He almost finished the milk but the spiciness was still in his mouth. Ryzza said that Alden's ears are becoming red already. So he ate a candy to remove the spiciness.
Alden is really close with his co-hosts. Lots of video are uploaded on social media showing his playfulness with Ryzza and Baste backstage. He must really love kids, right?!
But according to some reports and researches, milk helps soothe the pain after eating chilies. Chilies contain a substance called capsaicin that makes taste buds sting. When capsaicin pings taste buds, these heat-detecting neural sensors send a message straight to the brain: "fire!" Milk, however, contains casein, a fat-loving compound that binds with spicy capsaicin oil and then washes it away.
Capsaicin doesn’t dissolve in water, so water won’t help much, but it does dissolve in alcohol and vegetable oils. Beer is not very alcoholic, so it won’t do much. Stronger drinks may help more, but there’s a limit to how much alcohol you can have.
