Google PH releases touching video for Filipino Abroad

Google released a most touching video made for Filipinos around the world.

The video is dedicated to overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) who will not be able to visit the Philippines this Christmas, as well as their families and friends back home.

"Christmas is the most important celebration of the year for many Filipinos and its essence lies in precious moments shared with the family,” said Ryan Morales, Google Philippines Country Marketing Manager. “In this project, we provide the opportunity for families to come together in one hub, regardless of their actual location, and share memories seamlessly, like they’re never apart.”

The video is part of Google Philippines’ “Balikbayan” campaign, which aims to enable Filipino families and communities “share the everyday” through the website’s various services, from social media and messaging to search engines, videos, maps and news.

A child can be heard singing Basil Valdez’s “You” as snippets of muted conversation between OFWs and their loved ones in the Philippines are shown in Google Philippines’ video, which is titled “Miss Nothing.”
