Many parents are to be blamed as well, as they do not pay attention to their children when they are distracted themselves. But when you see a lost girl in the streets, would you bother to help her look for her mother?
DennisCeeTV was wondering the same thing, which is why he has decided to stage this little scenario on the streets of New York City. Do you think they’ve ‘passed the test’ with flying colors, or have they actually failed miserably and did not show any compassion?
Maybe they were just in a hurry and suspected the little girl’s true motives? We guess it depends on the person, which is there are many different reactions in this video.
We are constantly being urged to teach our children about ‘stranger danger’, and a video doing the rounds this week has proven exactly why this is so important.
YouTuber DennisCeeTV decided to carry out a social experiment to see how many people would help a lost child looking to find her mother.
In this social experiment, a young girl pretends that she is looking for her mom who was just with her a few moments ago. She asks random people to help her. Though most of them helped her, there were some people who ignored her and did not even bother to look at her. Imagine if she was the daughter of a close friend or family, how would you feel about these people’s reactions?
Enlisting the help of a young child actress to play the ‘lost child’, the video-maker went on to capture the reactions and responses from the people she meets on the streets – and they are interesting, to say the least.
The public’s responses range from ignorance to violence, and at one point, the child is in very real danger.
At the end of the video clip, a man took advantage of the situation and claimed that he had seen her mother. This was the time when the video maker approached the man and took the girl away from him—and called the police.
