You won't believe what's in this crocodile's mouth! Horrifying
You'll hate crocodiles after watching this video.
A video uploaded on YouTube shows a crocodile swimming through a public marina in the tourist hotspot, in Mexico, with a dead pet dog on its mouth.
One of the witnesses, a New Zealander, Tim Weston, was on a holiday in Puerto Vallarta with his wife when he saw the attack.
"The crocodile kept the dog in its mouth for ages, not moving at all," said Tim.
The lifeless black dog was wearing a red collar and said to be belonged to a local bike shop owner.
The crocodile can be seen on the video calmly swimming along the side of a dock holding the dead dog on its mouth.
"There's a sanctuary for these crocodiles up the river (200m away) which runs out to the sea and the marina. The dog went to the water's edge to see the crocodile (being curious I guess) but things didn't go according to plan obviously," said Tim.
"It was certainly a shock to the system. Guess that's nature though."
Crocodiles are common in the tourist area as the resort is built among the mangroves where they have lived for years.
As well as living in the nearby sanctuary, crocs are regularly spotted on the resort's golf course.
"A couple of hours later we walked back past and there was still a crowd... But we didn't want to look at it again as we had just eaten. Yesterday morning there was no sign of either," Tim said.
The video was first posted on the Bogged Facebook page.
According to some social media users the incident were 'horrible' and another one said 'i hate crocodiles now'.
The American Crocodiles in Mexico can reach lengths of 6 meters and as a result of urbanisation are living closer to humans than ever before.
Back in early March, a dog was killed and eaten by a crocodile near a boat ramp on a riverbank in Queensland, Australia.
The incident occurred in the village of Marton, north of Cooktown, about 150 metres from a boat ramp on the Endeavour River.
