Movie enthusiasts have always been captivated by one of the biggest mysteries of human nature, why do some people kill? Studies and researches were done regarding this matter. Murder fascinates awfully a lot of writers and directors until this day with a great number of audiences along side.

It is not new to see bad guys in films but what makes it interesting is finding out that psychotic on screen events are based on a true case. This just makes monsters so real and horror films even scarier! It is like it could happen to you too.

This movies have the sickest killers and creepiest stories that are inspired by real events. Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho and Texas Chainsaw Massacre's, Leatherface were inspired by the infamous Ed Gein. The Silence of the Lamb's Hannibal Lecter was based on the mysterious serial killer, Monster of Florence.
