Alden Richards unleashed his inner “rock star” and shock everyone with his performance on yesterday’s episode of the Lip Sync Battle Philippines!
Last February 27, 2016, Lip Sync Battle Philippines debuted on GMA Network. Hosted by the award-winning comedian Michael V. and TV host actress Iya Villania as the color commentator.
The show is a version of the hit American TV series, Lip Sync Battle. The game pits two Kapuso celebrities against each other in a lip sync battle for two rounds. Round 1 is called the ‘Strip Down’ and Round 2 is called, ‘Full Blown Concert.’
The celebrities can lip sync any song of their choice. The crowd will be determining the winner of the battle after the two rounds have been finished.
For the first round, Alden Richards channeled his inner Justin Bieber for his lip sync performance of the billboard hit, "Sorry." When the Pambansang Bae used his puppy dog eyes and his totally charming smile, the audience gone wild because they could not contain and hide their “kilig”.
Whilst Jerald Napoles killed Alden Richards’s “God Gave Me You” version with matching “emote” just like what Alden did when he once sang the song.
On the second round, Jerald Napoles wowed everyone with his full J.Lo realness as he lip synced to "Let"s Get Loud." Together with him, the audience got crazy and loud with his impersonation!
While Alden gave an all out performance to impersonate Kamikazee as he sings "DooBiDoo" by Apo Hiking Society and revived by Kamikazee. Together with the “Rogelio” of Lola Nidora, Alden executed a jaw dropping number!
In the end, Alden's hair-flipping rock performance won the audience vote, earning him the 'Lip Sync Battle Philippines' belt!
